James Batley will be joining us as the lead academic for our Pacific Simulation this year. Prior to working with the ANU, Mr Batley had an impressive career in government, holding diplomatic postings in various Asia Pacific nations. He has also held senior positions including Deputy Director-General of the Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID) and Deputy Secretary of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT). |
DR. CASSANDRA STEER
MISSION SPECIALIST, ANU INSTITUTE FOR SPACE
We are delighted to welcome Dr Cassandra Steer as the lead academic for our Space Simulation. Dr Steer is a Senior Lecturer at the ANU College of Law, as well as a Mission Specialist at the ANU Institute for Space. Specialising in international space law, Dr Steer is particularly interested in space security, an increasingly important area of national security concern.
KATHERINE MANSTED
Director of Cyber Intelligence, cyber cx
Katherine Mansted will be the lead academic consultant for our Domestic Simulation this year. Katherine is currently the Director of Cyber Intelligence at Australia’s largest independent provider of professional cyber security services, CyberCX. Prior to this role, Katherine was the Senior Adviser for Public Policy at the National Security College, Australian National University. She was also a non-resident fellow at the Alliance for Securing Democracy at the German Marshall Fund of the United States and was a co-host for the National Security Podcast on PolicyForum.net.
